"Michelle Christine Heaton", (borned 19 July 1980, Gateshead, England) is a British pop singer, television personality and sometime glamour model voted 'the most sought after girl in Newcastle'. She was married to former boyband member Andy Scott-Lee, and was coincidentally the sister-in-law to former Steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee and the sister-in-law by marriage to former Hear'Say singer Johnny Shentall. She and Andy announced the end of their marriage on 5 June 2008 citing adultery on her part.
During her early days, had been given a talent contests doing cover versions that was been the beggining of her world in dancing at Newcastle's The Baja Beach Club. After a while performing gigs as a solo singer, Heaton reached the final stage in auditions for Girl Thing and got a place in the girl-band Sirens. She then left and went on an auditioned for Popstars, wherein she was a runner-up; and became a singer with Liberty X, whose other members included Jessica Taylor.Michelle Heaton heard criticism from some quarters after her remarks that gay kissing scenes in Coronation Street should have gone out after the 9pm watershed. However she clarified clearly later to everyone, to prove herself.
Heaton has also taken part in several photoshoots in lingerie, swimwear and other revealing outfits for men's magazines such as Maxim and Loaded, and has commented in the past that she would welcome a move into glamour modelling full time if her singing career was to come to an end. She was chosen as the face (and body) of the Ultimo 'Michelle at George' lingerie range, available exclusively at Asda stores nationwide, in September 2006.
In an interview with the Belfast Telegraph not long after Celebrity Big Brother, Michelle Heaton revealed that she and her boyfriend Hugh Hanley were 'absolutely loved up'. In 2010 The Mail reported that she is currently living in Dublin, Ireland with her boyfriend Hugh Hanley.
