An American hot actress borned on November 16, 1967 in San Francisco, California by her African American father Allen Bonet (1928-2008),an opera singer; and Jewish mother Arlene Litman (1930- present), who was a teacher. She also has a younger sister who attended an elite private school in Marin County north of San Francisco; and another who attended Oberlin College. Bonet attended Reseda High School in Reseda, California, and Celluloid Actor's Studio in North Hollywood where she majored in acting.

Unfortunately,their parents divorced when she was young, but her formative years were spent mostly in New York City and L.A. At a very young age, she started auditioning for commercials, and after several years of ads and walk-on TV parts, she landed a plum role in NBC's The Cosby Show that made her popular actress which idolized by the crowd. The show was an immediate hit for her, and Bonet quickly asserted herself as one of the most memorable kids in the Huxtable clan, the outspoken teenager Denise.Later on, she briefly left The Cosby Show to star in the spin-off version, A Different World that focused on Denise Huxtable's life at college.

Until she met Lenny Kravitz at a New Edition concert in Los Angeles, a unknown musician that time.These lovers both shared a neo-hippie persona and biracial background (He is also half-black, half-Jewish). Finally, In 1987 Lisa and Lenny got married and had a daughter named Zoe in 1988.Luckily after a moment, Lenny got his first album, "Let Love Rule". Lisa co-wrote songs in the album and even directed his first video. But the couples relationship was full of struggles from the start, including intense scrutiny from the media and his husband reported infidelities that leads in a bitter seperation. They eventually divorced in 1993.

After her divorce from Lenny, Lisa's career was been affected and no longer an in-demand actress while Lenny became more famous than his ex-wife. Lisa occasionally made B-movies, many of which went straight to video. In 1992, Lisa started dating yoga instructor Bryan Kest. Then, began living together and declared that she has deliberately cut back on acting so that she could spend more time with her family. In spite of that decision she did make a brief return to the spotlight in 1998 by co-starring with Will Smith in the big-budget hit movie Enemy of the State (1998) and had an important role in High Fidelity (2000). Thus, Lisa and her ex-husband Lenny became friends again. As of 2007, Lisa staying for good in Los Angeles area with her children happily.
