Born in 1985, actress Anna Kendrick was already making waves by the time she was 13, when she received her first Tony nomination. She began acting onscreen in 2003 with a pair of bit movie parts, and in 2007 she appeared as the female lead in the acclaimed indie coming-of-age film Rocket_Science.

But her real breakthrough came opposite George Clooney as a young corporate go-getter in the comedy/drama Up in the Air For her work in that film, Kendrick garnered Best Supporting Actress nominations from the Screen Actors Guild, the Hollywood Foreign Press, and the Academy, and won that award from the National Board of Review as well as from a handful of critics groups.
